Fran Harris was a member of the Houston Comets first WNBA Championship team in 1997, and led the University of Texas to its first and only NCAA title -- with a 34-0 record. Fran was alternate on the 1988 Olympic team, and played on the top USA National teams including the Goodwill Games and World Championships. She also played professionally in Italy and Switzerland, and coached both a youth squad and a men's semi-pro team in Baden, Switzerland. Fran's 30-year broadcasting career includes 17 years with ESPN, FOX, CBS and Bally's Sports, and currently a Dallas Wings broadcaster. She has appeared as a business expert on hundreds of national TV shows including Good Morning America, The Today Show, CNBC and Shark Tank. In 2025, she led WNBA expansion efforts in Austin, raising $300+ million dollars. In 2026, Fran launches a women's basketball developmental league, EXALT, headquartered in Austin.
